Jawline filler for definition, not slimming
The jawline blurs for two reasons. Either the bone was never prominent, so the face and neck meet in a soft curve, or the tissue along the jaw has loosened with age and started to hang over the line. Jawline filler helps with both by laying product along the bone, so the edge reads as a straight line again from the chin to the angle below the ear.
Your provider treats the jawline in stages. The angle usually goes first, because a defined corner does more for a profile than anything placed along the middle of the jaw. Then the line between the corner and the chin, if it still needs it.
Filler or masseter Botox? They do opposite things and people confuse them constantly. Jawline filler adds structure; it makes the jaw more defined. Masseter Botox relaxes the chewing muscle; it makes a wide or square jaw narrower. If you want a sharper jaw, this page is the right one. Consultation
Your provider studies the jaw from the front, both sides and from below, checks whether the chin needs support too, then recommends syringe count and gives you the total cost.
Numbing
Topical anesthetic, plus the lidocaine already in the filler.
Injections
Product placed on the bone at the angle of the jaw and, if needed, along the line toward the chin. Both sides are compared throughout.
Aftercare
Some swelling and minor bruising for a few days is normal. Avoid strenuous activity, heat, alcohol, blood thinners and pressure on the jaw for 24 to 48 hours. Sleep on your back the first night.
Results
Definition is visible immediately. The line settles over two to four weeks, and any fine-tuning is decided after that.

Jawline filler is likely a good fit if you:
- are at least 18
- want a sharper or more defined jawline without surgery
- have a jaw that looks soft or undefined in profile or from the front
- have realistic, natural-looking goals
- are in good general health, and not pregnant or breastfeeding
- have no active skin infection at the treatment site
Jawline filler is not right for you if your jaw already looks wide or square and you want less of it. Adding filler to a wide jaw makes it wider. That is a masseter Botox conversation.

What affects the cost
The cost of jawline filler follows the syringe count. The jawline is a long area, so a full line from the angle to the chin on both sides can take more than one syringe, while treating the angle alone takes less. Every treatment includes numbing. Your provider confirms the count and the cost at your consultation, before treatment, and you can build in stages if you would rather.
Jawline and chin filler are often done together, because the chin is where the line ends, and treating both in one visit changes the plan and its cost.
