A Med Spa Built by a Nurse Practitioner Who Was Tired of Watching Patients Get Rushed
Aesthetx Haus is a medical aesthetics practice in Walnut Creek, California, founded by Desirée Antonelli, MSN, FNP. Today our team carries her approach across injectables, laser, skin treatments and medical weight loss. SFGate named the studio a Best of Bay Area finalist in 2025 and 2026.
Our story
Why Aesthetx Haus exists
Desirée spent years performing aesthetic treatments and sitting in on consultations before she opened her own studio. The pattern she kept seeing was the same. People felt rushed through appointments, unheard by their providers, or pressured into treatments they were not sure they wanted.
She also noticed something quieter. A lot of women had lost their spark somewhere between careers, motherhood, relationships and the demands of everyday life. They were not trying to become someone else. They wanted to recognize themselves in the mirror again.
Aesthetx Haus was built for that, and every member of the team works to the same standard.

How we work
One team, one standard
Everyone who treats you works the way Desirée built the studio to work: listen first, plan conservatively, and explain everything.
You get the cost before you commit
A consultation ends with a plan and an exact total, not a sales close. No treatment is booked until you have both.
We would rather under-treat
Dosing starts conservative by design: it is easier to add a little once a result has settled than to undo too much.
We say no
A Liquid BBL will not help you lose weight. Filler will not fix skin texture. If the treatment you asked for is not the one that solves the problem, you will hear that at the consultation.
Evenings are normal
The studio is open until 9:00 pm Monday to Friday, because most people cannot take an afternoon off for a lip flip.

Desirée is a Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 15 years in healthcare. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Samuel Merritt University and a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Clinical Health Sciences from California State University, East Bay. She has performed thousands of aesthetic treatments across the San Francisco Bay Area.
