Lip filler and dermal fillers
Facial Balancing Filler in Walnut Creek, Planned as One Face Rather Than Four Areas
Facial balancing is a filler treatment that addresses several areas of the face in one plan, so that the chin, jawline, cheeks, lips and under-eyes are treated in proportion to each other rather than one at a time. At Aesthetx Haus in Walnut Creek, our injectors map the whole face before opening a syringe. Your plan and its cost are confirmed at your consultation.

Facial balancing treats the cause, which is rarely the area you noticed
The area someone points to in the mirror is often not the one that needs product. A lip that looks thin can be a chin that is short. A jaw that looks soft can be a cheek that has dropped. Treat only the area that was pointed at and the face ends up bigger in one place and no more balanced than before.
Facial balancing at Aesthetx Haus starts with the profile. Your provider looks at how the forehead, nose, lips and chin line up from the side, then at symmetry from the front, and builds a plan in order of what will change the most. Structure comes first, usually the chin and cheeks. The lips are almost always last, because a balanced face needs less lip than people expect.
The opinion this studio will stand behind: most faces that look "done" were treated one syringe at a time by someone who never stepped back. Balancing is the step back. It is for people who want a complete, considered refinement rather than a feature, and it is not for everyone. If one area is all you need, your provider will say so and charge you for one area.
The appointment
What to expect
Consultation
A longer assessment than a single-area visit. Your provider photographs your face from the front and both sides, walks you through what they see, and builds a written plan with the areas, the order, the syringe count and the total cost.
Numbing
Topical anesthetic across every planned area, plus the lidocaine already in the filler.
Injections
Areas treated in the planned order, usually structure first and lips last, with a step back to the mirror between each. Some plans are split across two visits so the first areas can settle before the next are placed.
Aftercare
Swelling and minor bruising for a few days, across more of the face than a single-area treatment. Avoid strenuous activity, heat, alcohol, blood thinners and pressure on treated areas for 24 to 48 hours. Sleep on your back the first night.
Results
The change is visible immediately. Everything settles over two to four weeks.
Candidacy
Is facial balancing right for you?
Facial balancing is likely a good fit if you:
- are at least 18
- feel that your face looks "off" in photos or in profile but cannot name a single area
- have had single-area filler before and felt it did not quite land
- want a complete refinement rather than one feature
- have realistic, natural-looking goals
- are in good general health, and not pregnant or breastfeeding
- have no active skin infection at the treatment sites
Facial balancing is not right for you if your goal is one feature. If you want fuller lips and nothing else, book lip filler.
Cost
What affects the cost
The cost of facial balancing depends on how many areas the plan covers and how many syringes each one needs, which can range from two areas to five. You receive the full plan and its cost in writing at the consultation, before any treatment.
If you would rather read about each area on its own first, the filler hub links to every single-area page.
Cherry financing covers treatments from $200 to $65,000 with plans from four interest-free payments to 60 months, after a soft credit check. It is the option most balancing clients use.

How much does facial balancing cost in Walnut Creek?
Facial balancing cost depends on how many areas your plan covers and how many syringes each area needs, so a two-area plan and a five-area plan cost very different amounts. Your provider gives you the exact cost in writing at your consultation, before any treatment is booked, and Cherry financing is available.
How long does facial balancing last?
It depends on the areas in your plan. Lip filler typically lasts 6 to 12 months, while cheek and jawline filler can last 12 to 18 months or longer, so a balancing result is usually refreshed one area at a time as each one needs it.
Does facial balancing hurt?
Discomfort is minimal, though the appointment is longer than a single-area visit. Topical numbing covers every planned area and the filler contains lidocaine, so you feel pressure rather than pain.
How long is facial balancing recovery?
A few days of swelling and possibly bruising, across more of the face than a single-area treatment, so plan around events. Avoid exercise, heat and pressure for 24 to 48 hours. The full result settles over two to four weeks.
Is facial balancing done in one visit?
Sometimes. Smaller plans are done in one appointment. Larger plans are often split so the first areas can settle before the next are placed, which your provider decides with you at consultation.
Can facial balancing be reversed?
Yes. Every area uses hyaluronic acid filler, which dissolves with hyaluronidase, so nothing in the plan is permanent.
