Consultation
Your provider reviews your skin tone and the hair on the area, confirms which size it is, and sets the session count. Modern laser technology works across a wide range of skin tones, and settings are adjusted to yours.
Preparation
Shave the area 24 hours before your visit. No tweezing, threading, waxing or bleaching for 2 to 4 weeks beforehand, because the laser needs the hair in the follicle. Keep the area out of the sun and off the self-tanner.
Treatment
Protective eyewear on, then the laser passes over the area. Most clients describe a warm snap, like a rubber band, softened by the device's cooling. Facial areas are small, so the treatment itself is brief.
Aftercare
Mild redness or sensitivity for a few hours is normal. Avoid sun, hot showers and heavy sweating for 24 to 48 hours, and wear sunscreen, since your face is the one area you cannot cover with clothing.
Results
Reduced growth after the first few sessions, then progressively smoother skin over the series of 6 to 8 sessions, spaced 4 to 8 weeks apart.
